February 26

This morning the township rescue companies were summoned to the 6000 block of Derry St for an accident with entraptment. Chief 91-3 arrived to find a single vehicle into the trees with the driver trapped. Crews form Rescue 91-5 & 91 arrived and worked to remove the door and working to free the occupant. At 1623hrs this afternoon, units from Swatara Township and surrounding jurisdictions were dispatched to a possible structure fire in the area of Highland St. and Boyer St with reports of multiple people trapped. Lawnton Chimney Fire

February 12

Swatara Township Fire-Rescue Units along with mutual aid from Paxtang Fire Company (40) were dispatched the the 5000 Block of Lancaster Street in the 45-7 Box Area for a reported Chimney Fire. Chief 91-5 (Canulli) arrived and confirmed embers from the chimney. MVA w/ Entrapment

January 30

Late this evening, while STFR units were clearing a Commercial Automatic Fire Alarm in the 49-5 Box, units were dispatched to 322 Westbound for a Motor Vehicle Accident with Entrapment. Units arrived on scene to find a head on crash with 1 Trapped. Units worked to free the patient and marked extrication within 20 minutes.

Township Companies Run Fire in Paxtang

January 30

Engines 91, 91-2, 91-5 and Air 91-2 all were alerted shortly after 1800 hours for smoke from a house in the 3200 block of Derry St. Crews arrived and found moderate smoke throughout the home. Crews found a small fire in the basement and quickly extinguished the same.
