This evening around 1800 Swatara Fire-Rescue and mutual aid were alerted to a hotel off Friendship Rd for reports of smoke from the building.  Swatara PD and Chief 32-2 arrived with fire showing from the 1st floor.  First arriving units contained the fire to the area of origin and the box was reduced within 10 minutes.

As units were clearing the first incident, Box 91-4 was alerted for a vehicle fire on Interstate 283.  Rescues 91-5 and 59 arrived to find a well involved engine compartment fire.
