4 Calls For Service
Swatara Fire-Rescue remained busy today with 4 calls for service. Air 91-2 was on the street first today to assist Company 54 (Londonderry) at the scene of a house fire. The air unit assisted with filling cylinders and various tasks prior to being released.
Then early this evening units were alerted to Harvard Ct for a reported brush fire next to the building. Engine 91 arrived to find a small area of tanbark on fire and extinguished the same with a PW.
The third incident of the day was dispatched in the 700 block of N Harrisburg St for a reports of a fire in the attic of a home. Engine 91 and truck 32 arrived and quickly discovered a small smoldering fire. The burning contents were removed from the house and the house was cleared of any smoke.
Finally just after 11pm Engine 91-2 responded to an Automatic Fire Alarm in Steelton Borough. The box was quickly upgraded after receiving reports of a possible stove fire. First arriving units quickly found burnt food and scaled the box back.
