Our agency is in operations whenever the township is in need of our services. We are staffed by many dedicated public safety professionals that are here to give of their time, talent, and dedication to the residents and visitors of Swatara Township.

We are always looking for more volunteers willing to spend some time and dedication to make our teamwork successful during disasters that impact our township

Some of these disasters include but are not limited to

  • Nuclear incidents/drills
  • Snowstorms
  • Floods
  • Ice storms
  • Wind storms
  • Large fires
  • Major traffic accidents
  • Large gas leaks/spills

Training is done at our agency and in the local area at the Dauphin County Department of Public Safety, PEMA, and FEMA offices. However, hands-on is our primary learning objective.
