Application Process
- Complete our online inquiry form
- Meet up with a Recruiter to obtain an application
- Complete and submit the application along with all background check authorizations
- Participate in an informal interview with Fire Department Officers
- Complete a medical physical and be cleared to participate
- Participate in orientation with command staff:
- Complete beneficiary forms for various fire department benefit programs
- Collaborate on an appropriate training path
- Receive PPE-Personal
- Protective Equipment
- Start introductory training:
- CPR/AED
- First Aid
- Bloodborne Pathogens
- HazMat Awareness
- Incident Command
- Be cleared to ride as a probationary member and successfully complete PA State Firefighter 1 training.
- Be assigned to apparatus and complete appropriate task book as a contributing member.
- Actively participate in emergency responses, training, standbys, health and wellness events, and public relations events to qualify for the department incentive program.
- Continue service and overall development supported by the department.
