Yesterday evening, Engine 91 and Air 91 were dispatched on the initial assignment for a reported house fire in Steelton Borough.
Engine 91 arrived first on scene with fire showing from the second floor and immediately initiated an offensive fire attack. Chief 91-4 arrived shortly after and established Command 50.
Initial alarm companies placed multiple hose lines in service and were able to bring the fire under control within approximately 20 minutes.
Engine, Tower, Air, and Traffic 91, with 20 personnel, operated on scene for approximately two hours before returning to service. Stations 91 and 91-5 remained staffed throughout the incident to ensure continued coverage for the township.
